• Sweet Jars Competition — From 1st June to 19th June, we are asking families to wash out any empty jars, fill them with sweets, and bring them into school for our Summer Fayre. The class that brings in the most filled sweet jars will win a Milkshake and Treats Party!
• Year 5 and 6 Sports Day — Starting at 9:15am. Come and support your children on our fun-filled sports day. Don't forget to sign your child up for our sponsored run - sponsorship will go towards exciting opportunities for your children in school.
• School Class Photos — Class Photos will take place throughout 3rd, 4th and 5th June. Please ensure children have their school jumpers.

• Sailing Event at Victoria Park — After an exciting boat building workshop with SS Freshspring and Navantia, your children would like to invite you to a sailing event at Victoria Park Paddling Pool between 2pm-4pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for your children to see their engineering skills in action. We look forward to seeing you there.
• Space Odyssey Experience — As part of our science topic we have the Space Odyssey experience coming into school. A dome which will take your children on a journey through space. A virtual experience that your children won't forget.
• Bagged Lunch in class — The hall will be out of use for the Space Dome. Bagged lunches will be sausage and chips with traybake for pudding.
• Reserve date - Year 5 and 6 Sports Day — This is an alternative date if the initial date is cancelled due to bad weather.
• Science Day — The whole school will participate in science day. Year 5 children will have the opportunity to design their own capsules that are suitable to land their eggstronauts on alternative planets. The children will work in teams to investigate capsules, design and make their own and aim to safely land their eggstronaut. Finally, the children will evaluate what worked well with their design and what they would need to improve if they were to create a second design.
• After School Clubs end
• Year 5 Camping Residential — The year 5 children will visit Collard Bridge Scout Camp to enjoy 3 days and 2 nights of the full camping experience. Activities will include: toasting marshmallows over a campfire, blindman's trail, orienteering, bouldering, bug hunting, sketching, hot chocolates, singing around the campfire and much more.
• Summer Fayre 2026 — Our Annual Summer Fayre returns! Join us for live music, performances from our school Dance Club, BBQ, Games, Refreshments, Raffle and all the classic from 15:30. For more information click here.
• Transition Day — The children will get the opportunity to meet the new year 6 teacher.
• French Afternoon — We will spend the afternoon immersing ourselves in French culture and playing French games.
• Year 5 RSE — The children will learn how to identify emotions and describe how they may change during puberty. The children will be provided information on how to get help with managing their emotions.
• Last day of summer term — Time to enjoy the summer holidays with your children before they start their final year of primary school.
