Welcome to the first year 2 fridge letter! Here you will find all the key information and dates for this half term.

Welcome back to school! — Welcome to the 2026–27 school year! We look forward to welcoming everyone back. School starts at 8:40am.
After school clubs to begin. — After school clubs begin this week.
Appledore Book Festival Author Visit — Author, Tracey Corderoy, will be visiting year 2 pupils to share some of her books and lead an exciting workshop based on her characters.
Geography Fieldwork — Year 2 pupils will be walking around East-the-Water noting the human and physical features they can see. Please ensure your child has a coat or sun cream depending on the weather.
Library Trip — Year 2 pupils will be making their first trip to Bideford Library where they will be read an engaging story by a librarian before being allowed to choose their own reading for pleasure book to take back to school.
Open Classroom — We would like to invite parents/carers into our classroom at the end of the day so pupils can share their chosen library book with you.
Whole School Photos — Tempest Photography will be in to take individual and sibling photos.
KS2 Halloween Discos — Save the date for our KS2 Halloween Disco! More information will be sent out closer to the event.
KS1 Halloween Discos — Save the date for our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Halloween Disco! More information will be sent out closer to the event.
Science Day — A whole-school day of exciting science activities, investigations and hands-on learning for every year group.
