Welcome to Autumn 1

Welcome to the Autumn term! In this section, you will find all the important information and dates for this half term.

Important Dates

  • Welcome back to school! — Welcome to the 2026–27 school year! We look forward to welcoming everyone back. School starts at 8:40am.
  • Open Classroom — After school, we will be opening our classroom for you to come in and spend some special time reading and sharing books with your child. It will be a lovely opportunity to enjoy stories together and encourage a love of reading in a relaxed classroom setting.
  • Mimic Octopus - Library Trip (AM) — To greaten children's love of reading we will be visiting Bideford library. The librarian will be sharing a story with the children. The children will then get time to browse the books available for them to borrow before choosing one to take back to school. Any parent help would be greatly appreciated. Please let your child's class teacher know if you can help.
  • After school clubs to begin. — After school clubs begin this week.
  • Immortal Jellyfish - Library Trip (AM) — To greaten children's love of reading we will be visiting Bideford library. The librarian will be sharing a story with the children.   • Appledore Book Festival - Author Visit — We are extremely lucky to have a visit from John Townsend planned for this day. John has written more than 350 books!
  • KS2 Halloween Discos — Save the date for our KS2 Halloween Disco! More information will be sent out closer to the event.
  • KS1 Halloween Discos — Save the date for our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Halloween Disco! More information will be sent out closer to the event.
  • Science Day — A whole-school day of exciting science activities, investigations and hands-on learning for every year group.
